Santa’s Alphabet: The Magic of Spreading Joy!
Do You Believe in Magic? We Do!
That’s why this alphabet is dedicated to the most magical and real hero of our time—the genuine Santa Claus from the Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Discover what gift the Belarusian wizard wishes for and what journey he dreams of!
Santa’s Favorite Dish
My favorite dish is fried ice cream! Just two scoops of fried ice cream a day can satisfy even the hardest worker. And it’s simple to prepare—come visit me for the recipe! I’d be happy to share it!
A Day in the Life of Santa
I start my day with a light walk for about an hour and a half, inspecting my estate, then I spend some time reading letters, practicing magic, and soon after, guests begin to arrive. I don’t sleep much. Rarely do I get more than one dream per night.
Childhood Memories
Oh, I’ve been around as long as the world itself! My childhood was probably not much different from any other boy’s. Every person is born a magician. Not everyone manages to become one in life, but everyone has the potential, I know it!
Santa’s Team
Oh, Santa’s team is amazing! Year-round, I have Yanka, the hero of the tale “Give What You Didn’t Leave at Home,” Alena, the hostess of Mother Winter’s Workshop, and her and my assistants—Nastya and Lesya. During the winter, my entire family comes: my wife, Mother Winter, our three daughters—Frost, Blizzard, and Snowstorm, my granddaughter Snegurochka—the daughter of Snowstorm and Snowman, Baba Karota—the heroine of the tale “The Widow’s Son,” Nastya, the heroine of the tale “The 12 Months,” and the beekeeper Alyosha, who, after finishing his beekeeping duties, rushes to help me. In winter, many snowflakes also arrive! Together, we welcome guests, help them settle into my estate, and respond to numerous letters.
Rest and Relaxation
I don’t believe in rest for myself. How can one get tired of doing good? Tired of making people around happier and better? Tired of fulfilling the most incredible dreams and wishes of my guests? It’s unthinkable! And by the way, summer is not a time for rest for Santa Claus. Year-round, I welcome guests and am busy with miracles!
Letters to Santa
Once, a delegation visited my estate. There were military officials in this large delegation. After a photo session, one of them asked to take a personal photo for his young son: how he, the father, hands his son’s letter to Santa Claus. His comrade took the photo. But then this guest started trying to take the letter back from my hands. I asked him, “Why? The letter is addressed to me!” “I need to go to the store!” the young father replied. Oh no, I thought, this won’t do… But then I agreed: “Alright,” I said, “let’s open the envelope and read it together.” We opened it. The letter had only one line: “I want my dad to be healthy.”
Santa’s Wish List
Many guests visit my estate in the Belovezhskaya Pushcha throughout the year. But my guests spend almost all their time outdoors, and the weather in our parts—especially in the pre-New Year days—is not always pleasant for visitors. I feel uncomfortable that I can’t shelter them under a roof and in warmth. Therefore, I dream of a winter residence in the forest, where all guests can be received under a roof in spacious and bright chambers.
What gifts do modern children want most often? Modern ones! But I don’t give gifts to everyone, only to those who believe in me and don’t upset their loved ones. And everything else is a magical secret!
Santa’s Favorite Fairy Tale
I would like to repeat the journey of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Little Prince through the planets of his fairy tale. But I don’t qualify by age—I’m not accepted into the astronaut program! And among the fairy tale characters, I love Snegurochka! A unique literary hero. The only girl in the world made of snow; there are none like her in any other fairy tale! No other nation in the world has such a character! Moreover, she is unique in that, even after going through suffering, she did not acquire a single negative personality trait.
The Magic of the New Year
In the new year, everyone can expect their cherished wishes to come true. Sometimes it happens that we wish for and expect different things, we whisper one thing to Santa Claus, but keep another in our thoughts. Such wishes come true for us imperceptibly, because we expect one thing, but something completely different happens. In short, before wishing for a miracle, it must be thought through carefully. And it is very important not to miss your miracle. Don’t think that it stands along the road of life with a sign “This is me, your miracle.” You need to be attentive to yourself and what surrounds you. And perhaps the most important thing is that a miracle does not happen without your own effort. Listen to the prompts of your heart, notice the signs of fate—and all the miracles you dream of will definitely come true!
In the new year, I wish readers peace in their souls, in their families, prosperity in their homes, and that all troubles and misfortunes bypass you, my dear grandchildren, far, far away! Happy New Year!
