Belarusian Designers Make Waves at Paris Fashion Week

On July 10, 2025, within the prestigious Paris Fashion Week, a remarkable showcase of Belarusian designers took place, organized by Belarus Fashion Week. This significant event marked another stride towards international recognition for the Belarusian fashion industry. In the heart of Paris, the works of talented designers were presented, reflecting the unique aesthetics, cultural codes, and creative thinking of modern Belarus.

The Unforgettable Experience of Svetlana Gritsuk

One of the standout participants was Svetlana Gritsuk, the founder of the brand For You, who presented her collection at Paris Fashion Week for the first time. “For me, this is an unforgettable experience and indescribable impressions. I am in awe of the beautiful location, which immediately immerses you in a world of aesthetics and luxury. I want to thank everyone who came to share this incredible day with me,” the designer shared.

A Poetic Tale of Women’s Strength and Fragility

Svetlana Gritsuk’s collection is a poetic narrative about women and their journey in the modern world. It intertwines images of strength and tenderness, inner freedom, and vulnerability. The focus is on airy, transparent fabrics that highlight the fragility and beauty of the female soul. This is clothing in which a woman does not hide but shines and opens up to the world, inspiring with her radiant energy.

“Shine Brighter Here!!!”

“My collection is the story of a real woman woven into the New World. A woman who does not lose her Strength but reveals it through tenderness and openness. The slogan of my collection is ‘Shine Brighter Here!!!’. Your light is needed in this world. A woman is the mood of the earth,” noted the designer.

The Art Project Dedicated to Marc Chagall’s Legacy

A separate block within the Belarusian presentation in Paris was an art project dedicated to the legacy of Marc Chagall. The “Crystal Bridge of Marc Chagall” is a unique cultural initiative aimed at developing international dialogue through art, fashion, and cultural heritage. Inspired by the great artist Marc Chagall, the project unites contemporary designers from Vitebsk to present their interpretation of Chagall’s legacy through fashion to Paris, the capital of world fashion.

Building Bridges Between Past and Present

Through the universal language of fashion—a relevant tool for creative self-expression—we create a symbolic “BRIDGE” between the past and the present, between Belarus and France. The project combined fashion, art, and the philosophy of visual storytelling, demonstrating how artistic motifs of the past can be reimagined in contemporary design. The project featured Vitebsk designers: Marina Davydova, Tatiana Efremova, and Lyudmila Tarakanova. The full presentation of the project will take place in September at Belarus Fashion Week.

Mission: Shaping the Image of Modern Belarus

“Our mission is to shape the image of modern Belarus through fashion. We show the world the beautiful, stylish, intelligent, and brave people of our country. Events like today’s in Paris are bridges we build between cultures, opening up Belarus, its talents, and inner strength to the world,” said Yanina Goncharova, the founder of Belarus Fashion Week, in her closing remarks.

Presentation of Belarusian Identity

The showcase of Belarusian designers in Paris was not just a display of clothing but a presentation of Belarusian identity, deep meaning, beauty, and talent. This is an important step towards integrating Belarus into the global fashion community.
