Anna Silivonchik’s Alphabet: Finding Joy in Every Day
Meeting Anna and not smiling is impossible—she is a beacon of good mood and positivity. Like the whimsical world of her paintings, Anna is filled with vibrant stories, fantasies, and colorful memories.
A – Anna and Alina
Anna and her sister, Alina. Many say they look like twins, though they are two years apart. Anna was named after her grandmother and great-grandmother, a name that carries family tradition. Alina’s name, chosen by their mother, was considered unusual at the time, though not as complex as the names some parents choose today.
B – Grandmother
Anna has been blessed with many wonderful grandmothers—both biological and great-aunts. To her, a grandmother represents warmth, care, and unconditional love, even as you grow older. Her grandmothers taught her the value of warm relationships and mutual care.
V – Vasily Petrovich
This is Anna’s husband—a wonderful, bearded, and fluffy man. Even now, looking at themselves from the outside, Anna feels like they are playing house as they did in childhood. But now, it’s for real: they have a child, a nursery, and a home. Life has taken a serious turn, with Anna balancing motherhood and her career.
Z – Winter
Winter has its pros and cons. While Anna appreciates the beauty of snow-capped mountains, she believes that a month of winter is enough for anyone. On the other hand, winter is her most productive season. The cold weather keeps her indoors, where she spends most of her time painting and creating.
M – Motherhood
Motherhood has profoundly changed Anna, turning her life upside down in the best way possible. Her daughter, Masha, is her one and only, and Anna finds it hard to imagine how one could divide love among more than one child. Motherhood has brought a new level of responsibility and joy into her life.
R – Joy
Anna believes that experiencing strong emotions like happiness constantly is impossible. Humans are programmed to experience a certain amount of happiness and sadness. However, finding joy in everyday moments is something she has mastered over the years. She has learned to filter out the unnecessary and surround herself with what brings her happiness.
S – Conscience
A sense of responsibility is crucial to Anna. She believes that being irresponsible is synonymous with being unconsionable. Reliability and commitment are essential traits. When people let her down, she feels a strong sense of disappointment. However, she also believes that being too perfect can be suspicious. She thinks that people who appear flawless might be hiding something or compensating for past mistakes.
H – Artist
For Anna, being an artist is a lifestyle. Whether she is cleaning the house or cooking, she approaches everything with creativity. As a child, she dreamed of many things, including becoming an artist, and she achieved that dream. However, she continues to pursue other aspirations. To her, an artist is not defined by education or achievements but by a way of living.
Y – Youth
Anna’s perception of youth changed during her second year at the art academy. She and a friend attended a student disco and felt out of place, as if they were two aunts at a kindergarten party. This realization was initially saddening, but over time, she came to terms with it. She acknowledges the signs of aging but feels younger at heart. She still has many dreams to fulfill and plans to make up for lost time once her child grows up.
Y – Lizard
Anna loves to revisit her childhood spontaneously. During a summer trip across Belarus, she caught a lizard, an act she hadn’t done in years. She is unafraid of snakes, spiders, and other insects, especially when they are harmless. Her daughter, on the other hand, is scared of even butterflies. Anna recently designed bedding with butterfly patterns, but her daughter refused to sleep in it due to her fear.
Anna Silivonchik’s life is a testament to finding joy in the everyday and embracing creativity in all aspects of life. Her journey is an inspiration to many, showing that happiness can be found in the simplest of moments.
