Top 5 Autumn Beauty Treatments for Glowing Skin
Top 5 Autumn Beauty Treatments for Glowing Skin
In the world of cosmetology, November is often referred to as the ‘golden month.’ This is the time when low solar activity allows for a range of rejuvenating facial procedures to be performed with maximum effectiveness. But which treatments should you prioritize at your beauty salon?
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are rightfully dubbed the ‘king of autumn,’ and for good reason. All types of peels promote skin renewal, giving it firmness and a fresh appearance. Deep peels can be risky during the summer due to intense ultraviolet rays, making late October to mid-November the ideal time for this procedure. By removing the top layer of skin and stimulating its recovery, peels help eliminate fine lines, acne, lighten pigment spots, and even out skin tone. It’s best to have this procedure done by a skilled cosmetologist in a salon. With just 3-6 sessions, your skin can become smooth, fresh, and youthful.
Mechanical Peels
Mechanical peels involve various manual and apparatus-based methods to cleanse and polish the skin using micro-particles or special devices. The controlled intensity of mechanical peels allows for both superficial exfoliation of dead skin cells and deeper impact on the layers of the epidermis. Mechanical peels are excellent for cleansing the skin, smoothing scars and wrinkles, and providing a moderate lifting and rejuvenating effect. They are recommended for visible signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, photoaging, scars from chickenpox, acne, burns, enlarged pores, and to prepare the skin for absorbing active ingredients from cosmetic serums.
Important: Mechanical peels are not suitable for thin skin with surface capillaries, open wounds, inflammations, or when taking retinoids (vitamin A and its derivatives). They should also be avoided in cases of herpetic or other skin eruptions in the treatment area.
Facial Massage
While facial massages can be done year-round, if you missed out during the summer, autumn is the perfect time to start. The summer heat and air conditioning can strip the skin of moisture and nutrients. Facial massages are ideal for rejuvenating, restoring, and hydrating the skin. A typical course consists of 10 sessions. The effects are remarkable: dehydrated skin begins to regain moisture by the third session, normalizes by the sixth, and is well-nourished and ready for winter by the ninth and tenth sessions.
Non-Injection Oxygen Mesotherapy
This procedure is safer than injection mesotherapy and offers a dual effect: it vitaminizes skin cells and saturates them with oxygen. It is particularly beneficial for smokers’ skin. Non-injection therapy allows you to maintain your daily routine without skin trauma from punctures. There are almost no contraindications to this procedure. Nutrient cocktails for mesotherapy are tailored individually and applied directly to the skin’s surface. However, any rashes or wounds should be treated before the procedure.
Laser Removal of Pigment Spots
After active summer sun exposure and often after pregnancy, pigment spots can appear on the face. Laser (apparatus) resurfacing has proven effective in removing these spots. This procedure is performed locally. If you decide to remove pigment spots, consult a cosmetologist to assess the nature and depth of the spots and determine the number of sessions required and the pre-procedure care. Often, a specific cream is prescribed 2-3 weeks before laser resurfacing to facilitate spot removal. After the procedure, it is essential to use sunscreen, even if it’s winter.
Thermolifting
This procedure is based on diathermy, which involves deep tissue heating with high-frequency currents. Heating enhances blood and lymph flow and activates metabolism in skin that has lost some of its functions, becoming flaccid, saggy, and wrinkled. Essentially, it initiates the remodeling of collagen and elastin structures. Fibers regain their youthful tone, contract, and reform a young and firm face. Results are visible after the first session, but 5-6 sessions are usually needed to consolidate the effect. Thermolifting is painless and requires no special preparation.
