We’ve curated a list of some of the most extraordinary and expensive hotels around the globe for you to explore.

A Dollhouse in Scotland

Located in an environmentally pristine area of Scotland, this resort was built for $2.5 billion. The Dollhouse is one of the stunning places to relax, featuring a warm climate and crystal-clear waters. The property includes a spa hotel, clinic, golf courses, around 10 cottages, and a restaurant. The best part is the breathtaking view from everywhere. The cost per night for one person is $12,000, while staying in a cottage house is $28,000. However, to join this elite community, you need to pay $200 million, plus a $4 million membership fee to secure your position, and an annual fee of $1 million. Welcome to the rugged luxury of Perthshire County!

An Introvert’s Paradise: Banwa Private Island, Philippines

Banwa Private Island is considered the most expensive resort in the world, located on the private island of Puercо in the province of Palawan. This island is quite hard to find on maps. There are two ways to reach the hotel: by private helicopter (don’t worry, there’s a helipad) or by seaplane. The resort’s shores are washed by the warm Pacific inter-island Sulу Sea, and the thermometer rarely drops below 30 degrees. The hotel has six villas located at different ends of the island, creating a sense of maximum privacy, which is the main criterion at Banwa Private Island. Despite this, there are many interesting activities: scuba diving, a tennis court, a Pilates studio, a speedboat ride to the most scenic spots on the island, and much more. Notably, Banwa Private Island has no restaurants. Each guest has an individual menu, and a team of waiters serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at any point on the hotel’s territory. It’s truly an introvert’s paradise. The cost per night at Banwa Private Island reaches $100,000 USD, with a minimum stay of three days.

Underwater World at Lover’s Deep Submarine (St. Lucia)

One night here will cost $150,000 per person. But it’s no surprise, considering that the room is located on a specially equipped submarine, which is submerged underwater specifically for guests. Underwater, besides luxurious cabins, guests can enjoy a personal captain, a private chef, and a butler, as well as champagne breakfasts.

Immerse Yourself in Art at The Palms (Las Vegas, USA)

The world-renowned artist Damien Hirst worked on the design of the most expensive Empathy Suite at the hotel. The suite features six original paintings by the artist and custom-made furniture using his motifs. Additionally, the room houses a collection of artworks by other artists. But it’s not just art lovers who will appreciate this suite. It also includes a massage parlor, a console Jacuzzi with a view of Las Vegas, and a salt room for relaxation. The suite spans 836 sq. m. The room’s design theme is unique—pharmaceutical. The panoramic windows and dining chairs are adorned with stickers of medical drug names, and the bar counter is filled with medical waste. One night here will cost $100,000, but you’ll have to pay double that amount anyway, as the minimum number of nights for booking is two.

Artificial Island in Dubai

Everyone’s favorite resort in Dubai, and for good reason. Palm Jumeirah is an original island shaped like a trunk with 16 leaves, all framed by a crescent that protects against high waves. The island boasts beautiful landscapes and the necessary infrastructure for a full-fledged vacation. The price for staying in this paradise per day is about $15,000.
