The Art of High Tech: Stunning Huawei Smartphones

Smartphone manufacturers have made a significant leap forward in combining external aesthetics with high technology. Huawei’s developers have excelled in this endeavor. We have discovered several beautiful Huawei smartphones that can be used as designer accessories. The latest addition available to Belarusians is the Huawei nova 11 Pro, featuring a stylish body with vegan leather embossing, enhanced Kunlun glass, a powerful selfie camera, and ultra-fast charging. Let’s start with some earlier models.

Huawei P50 Pocket

This unique foldable smartphone is available in three color options. Each looks impressive, but the Premium Edition with a golden body is particularly striking. Its design was created by the renowned Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen. From a distance, the device resembles a cigarette case or a compact, but the designer’s concept goes much deeper.

The back panel is adorned with a relief micro-sculpture that visualizes electromagnetic waves and resembles a network of capillaries in a living organism. The designer aimed to create a pattern that evokes associations with both high technology and nature. This pattern shimmers beautifully in the light, and dynamically, it seems as if some energy is flowing within it.

Inside, it boasts premium specifications: a powerful processor, 512 GB of storage, 12 GB of RAM, and a battery with 40W fast charging. The triple camera setup includes a 40 MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a 32 MP module with a UV spectrum sensor. The latter allows for ultraviolet-lit photography in the dark, enabling glow-in-the-dark effects—perfect for nightclubs. It can also determine the evenness of sunscreen application.

Huawei Mate 50 Pro

The orange version of this model is particularly impressive. The color is poetically named “dawn in the mountains.” A key feature of this smartphone is its eco-leather back panel. The covering is relatively soft, slightly rough, pleasant to the touch, and resistant to scratches. It also looks elegant.

The camera block adds to the phone’s aesthetics. Its edge features a pattern of numerous pyramidal protrusions, known as the Clous de Paris pattern, often found in expensive Swiss watches. The ergonomic design ensures the phone does not wobble when placed on a table.

This flagship model, released in the fall of 2022, boasts a fast processor, ample memory, a high-performance camera, and an excellent 6.74-inch OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The 4700 mAh battery supports 66W fast charging, reaching 100% in 45 minutes. The device is IP68 rated, making it water and dust resistant, and can withstand submersion up to 6 meters.

Additionally, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is one of the first Huawei models to feature a variable aperture of f/1.4 – f/4.0 with 10 different settings. The smartphone can automatically select the appropriate value based on the lighting conditions, achieving a natural bokeh effect. The orange version also features enhanced Kunlun Glass, which protects the screen from damage due to falls. The incorporation of nanocrystals has increased the coating’s durability tenfold.

Huawei P60 Pro

This flagship smartphone became available in Belarus in June. It comes in two colors: classic black and “Rococo Pearl.” The latter features a mother-of-pearl body and looks particularly mesmerizing. Its design was inspired by the Rococo style, popular in aristocratic homes and royal palaces of 18th-century Europe. Even then, jewelry with mother-of-pearl and pearls were fashionable. Today, these materials are often used in creating necklaces, brooches, earrings, watches, and other accessories.

The Huawei P60 Pro in the “Rococo Pearl” color continues this tradition. The mother-of-pearl coating is made using natural pearl powder. The back panel fascinatingly refracts light at different angles. The texture resembles the inside of a shell where a pearl forms. Due to a special manufacturing technology, each pattern is unique. No two mother-of-pearl smartphones have identical designs.

The specifications are equally impressive: a flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G processor, a high-quality 6.67-inch OLED display with a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, a 4815 mAh battery with 88W fast wired and wireless charging. The screen is also protected by enhanced Kunlun Glass and is IP68 waterproof.

The camera deserves special attention. Thanks to it, the smartphone topped the authoritative DxOMark mobile camera ranking in March and remains on the podium. The impressive quality photographs are made possible by three high-performance modules: a 48 MP main camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle, and a 48 MP periscope lens. The main module delivers excellent results day and night, thanks to the variable aperture of f/1.4 – f/4.0. The telephoto module provides 3.5x optical and 100x digital zoom, also demonstrating high-quality images in low light.

Huawei nova 11 Pro

Another stylish smartphone recently hit the market in the second half of September. It is available in two colors: black and green, both of which are beautiful. The design draws attention to the back panel with an eco-leather cover, embossed with a repeating monogram of the nova series. The pattern evokes associations with fashionable accessories from Louis Vuitton or Gucci, which often use this motif.

The eco-leather provides pleasant tactile sensations, does not slip from the hand, and does not show fingerprints. The main camera block is designed as an orbital ring, referencing the aesthetics of space exploration. Turning the smartphone over reveals a stylish curved screen. The phone looks fresh and interesting, akin to flagship models.

The Huawei nova 11 Pro belongs to the upper mid-range class. It boasts advanced features, such as a powerful dual selfie camera with autofocus (60+8 MP), offering a 100-degree field of view, 5x zoom, and 4K video recording.

A 6.78-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2652 x 1200 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and enhanced Kunlun Glass ensures high-quality and smooth images. The 1440 Hz PWM dimming technology helps prevent eye strain.

The 4500 mAh battery can be fully charged in just 20 minutes, thanks to 100W fast charging support. The Snapdragon 778G gaming processor and ample RAM ensure high-speed performance. The powerful main camera, with a 50 MP primary module and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, delivers sharp and vibrant images, performing well even in low light.

The Huawei nova 11 Pro is available in Belarus with 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM for 1899 rubles. It comes in two colors: green and black. The novelty is available from mobile operators A1 and MTS, as well as in the retail chains “5 Element” and 21vek. Beauty and power combined.
