Priscilla Presley: A Journey of Love, Legacy, and Family

Priscilla Presley, the esteemed actress, author, and businesswoman, has always been candid about her enduring love for her late husband, Elvis Presley. In a heartfelt interview, she shares her treasured memories of the King of Rock and Roll and her newfound joy as a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Life with Elvis: A Bond Beyond Time

Reflecting on her life with Elvis at Graceland, Priscilla fondly recalls, “He had the best laugh. He had a great sense of humor and was fun to be with.” Their six-year marriage and 18-year friendship were filled with laughter and love, a bond that remained unbroken even after their divorce in 1973.

“We always remained friendly and would still get together,” Priscilla shares. “Of course, we had our daughter, and I would bring her to see her dad perform and made sure they spent a lot of time together.” Their daughter, Lisa Marie, spent extensive time with Elvis at Graceland, a testament to the family’s close-knit bond.

The Joy of Family and Grandmotherhood

Family is paramount to Priscilla, who is not only a mother to Lisa Marie and Navarone Garibaldi but also a grandmother to Riley Keough, Finley, and Harper, and a great-grandmother to Riley’s children, Tupelo and a baby born in 2025.

Despite the profound tragedies she has faced, including the loss of Lisa Marie in 2023 and her grandson Benjamin in 2020, Priscilla finds strength in her family. “My granddaughter Riley and I are very close. She’s just a wonderful mother,” Priscilla says. “It’s wonderful seeing your grandchild grow up, and she’s been so successful. We’re all very close, all of us in the family.”

Priscilla’s Memoir: A Journey Through Life After Elvis

In 2025, Priscilla spent much of her time touring the world, sharing her experiences and insights from her memoir, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis. Writing the book was an emotional journey for her.

“It took me a while to finish it up – more than 11 months,” she admits. “You remember a lot of things, and it was a good thing to be honest. A lot of remembering wonderful times and difficult times, and you’re reliving your life.”

Priscilla’s book tour shows have been a hit with audiences worldwide. “I love doing it, talking about all this, sharing, and of course answering all their questions. I get some good questions!” she says. One memorable question was about Elvis’s hair, to which Priscilla responded, “No, that’s not true; that was his beautiful hair.”

Looking Ahead: Priscilla’s Plans for 2026

As for her plans in 2026, Priscilla intends to continue touring with her show, which has taken her to cities like London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, New York, Christchurch, Auckland, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney.

Reflecting on Elvis’s 91st birthday, Priscilla ponders how he might have been in his nineties. “I think he’d be doing the same thing in life – singing and touring. He loved it,” she says.
