Princess Kate’s Country Home to Get a Luxurious New Neighbor

Princess Kate and Prince William’s beloved countryside retreat, Anmer Hall in Norfolk, is about to get even more appealing with a new woodland spa set to open next door.

Idyllic Woodland Spa Planned Next Door

Plans have been submitted to build a nature-focused retreat at the neighboring Houghton Estate. The spa will feature saunas, outdoor plunge pools, copper baths, and 45 cabins for overnight stays. Houghton Estate, in partnership with Wyld Cabins, has applied to build 21 one-bedroom and 21 two-bedroom cabins across 87.2 acres of woodland.

The planning statement encourages guests to “experience their natural environment, to slow down, relax, absorb and enjoy the surrounding tranquility.” With panoramic woodland views and private outdoor bathing areas, the spa promises to be a tranquil haven.

Kate’s Love for Nature and Wellness

Princess Kate is known for her love of nature and wellness. She has described nature as a place for “spiritual and very intense emotional reconnection.” In a video filmed in the Lake District, she spoke about finding balance and peace in woodlands. During her cancer treatment and recovery, nature became a sanctuary for her family.

Given Kate’s affinity for nature and wellness, this new spa addition is likely to be a perfect fit. In 2019, Kate and her children George and Charlotte were spotted at a Norfolk spa, and this new facility will be even closer to home.

Anmer Hall: A Family Retreat

Anmer Hall itself is a perfect place for rest and recreation, featuring a swimming pool, garden room, and tennis courts. Prince William has described it as “very peaceful.” The decor inside the ten-bed estate is warm and cozy, with a garden room that features a large wooden dining table, ideal for family gatherings.
