Legal Consequences of Defying Court Orders: The Laris Dolina Case
Laris Dolina’s Legal Battle Over Elite Apartment Continues
The prolonged legal dispute between singer Laris Dolina and businesswoman Polina Lurie over an elite apartment in Khamovniki has spilled over into 2026. Despite a court ruling, the keys to the property have not been handed over to the rightful owner, leaving the situation at a standstill.
The Latest Standoff
A meeting for the official transfer of the apartment was scheduled for January 9. On that day, representatives of Polina Lurie arrived at Rostovskaya Embankment, but Dolina herself did not appear. According to Lurie’s lawyer, Svetlana Sviridenko, the singer claimed to be out of town. Dolina sent a trusted representative, but this person lacked the necessary documents to sign the crucial handover certificate. Without this document, Lurie cannot legally complete the transaction and move into the apartment she now owns. In response, Dolina’s side proposed a new date of January 20.
A History of Delays
This is not the first time Dolina has postponed the move-out date. The Moscow City Court ruled on December 25, 2025, that the People’s Artist and her daughter and granddaughter should be evicted and deregistered. The new owners initially insisted on the apartment being vacated before the New Year, but Dolina requested time until January 5 to gather her belongings, then pushed the date to January 9. According to Lurie’s lawyer, the apartment was effectively vacated by January 5, and moving in was possible, but the buyer’s side insisted on proper legal formalities.
Intentional Avoidance?
Lurie’s representatives now strongly believe that Dolina is intentionally avoiding a personal meeting. After a series of broken agreements, trust has been eroded, and Sviridenko does not rule out involving bailiffs to enforce the court’s decision.
Legal Consequences and Compensation
We turned to lawyer Sergei Zhorin to understand the potential consequences for Dolina and whether Lurie can claim compensation. According to Zhorin, if Lurie incurs losses due to Dolina’s non-compliance with the court decision, she has the right to seek compensation. Furthermore, if an enforcement proceeding is initiated and the bailiff determines that Dolina is deliberately evading the court’s ruling, she could face severe measures.
“If Lurie suffers any losses due to Dolina’s non-compliance with the court decision, she is entitled to compensation from Dolina. Additionally, if an enforcement proceeding is initiated and the bailiff finds that Dolina is deliberately evading the court’s ruling, she could face serious consequences, including criminal liability,” Zhorin explained in an interview with Woman.ru.
Impact on Dolina’s Reputation and Career
This prolonged saga has already negatively affected Laris Dolina’s reputation. Internet users continue to actively discuss the “Dolina effect,” leaving angry comments and creating ironic videos about the singer, even calling for her “cancellation.” The consequences are not limited to the online world.
Producer Sergei Dvortsov confirmed to our publication that due to the situation, the singer’s fees have dropped. According to him, Dolina is trying to stay afloat and please the audience, but personal problems leave their mark. While she used to charge between 7 and 10 million rubles per concert, she is now willing to perform for a more modest fee of 3 to 5 million rubles for a 45-50 minute program.
Moreover, it is rumored that Laris Alexandrovna had to cancel a major anniversary concert planned for March 2026 due to low ticket sales. The main losses from this cancellation will likely be borne by the production company organizing the event.
