From Stability to Self-Discovery: The Inspiring Journey of Natalia Marinenko

Sometimes, the path to self-discovery begins not with a dream, but with an inner discomfort that can no longer be ignored. Natalia Marinenko’s journey is a testament to this. She transitioned from a life of stability and accolades to one of authenticity and self-honesty. Her success was not instantaneous; rather, it was a result of her decision to listen to her inner voice and transform her life.

Natalia Marinenko’s Women’s Club: A Space for Self-Discovery

Today, Natalia Marinenko runs her own women’s club, “Great People,” a sanctuary where individuals learn to listen to their inner selves, process emotions, and regain a sense of wholeness and support. Through workshops, intensives, and work focused on the body, relationships, and mindset, Natalia guides people towards profound changes that reflect not only in their inner state but also in their external lives.

From Small Town to Big Dreams

Natalia’s story begins in the small Belarusian town of Slutsk. In a place where everyone knew each other, life paths seemed predetermined: school, education, work, family. Despite the apparent normality, Natalia always felt a sense of disconnection, as if she were not living her own life. From a young age, she was deeply empathetic, sensing people’s fears, doubts, and pains even when they masked them with smiles. She yearned to understand, help, and engage in meaningful conversations. However, in her small town, such aspirations were dismissed as foolish. Psychology was seen as strange and impractical. Her mother’s words echoed the town’s sentiment: “What kind of psychologist? Are you going to work in a school?”

Driven by the need for stability and to avoid unnecessary questions, Natalia pursued a more conventional path. She first attended the Financial and Economic College in Minsk, followed by the Belarusian State Economic University. Although she wished to stay in the capital, she married and returned to Slutsk with her husband. Her mother secured her a part-time job at a bank, but soon Natalia took maternity leave to care for her daughter, Polina. She later worked as an accountant at an industrial company and took a second maternity leave for her son, Semyon.

The Rise and Recognition: A Success Story

During her college years, Natalia ventured into the world of network marketing with a renowned cosmetic company. She excelled in this role, driven by her passion for people rather than mere profits. Initially, her family was skeptical, even labeling her involvement as a “cult.” Natalia’s approach was unique; she focused on the women themselves rather than the cosmetics. She intuitively understood their needs—whether it was confidence, support, or the freedom to be themselves. Although she didn’t label it as psychology at the time, it was the foundation of her work. She asked questions and observed transformations not just in appearance but in posture, gaze, and voice.

Natalia’s dedication earned her recognition not for sales, but for her selfless work with people. She eventually rented an office in a dormitory, a significant step up from her kitchen. Despite the less-than-ideal surroundings, she continued to inspire and help others. Her success led to her becoming a director, nominated as the best leader. The company rewarded her with a car, enabling her to travel between cities, conducting meetings and sharing her experiences. However, money and status were never her primary goals. She conducted meetings, trained, and inspired others, often neglecting her own needs. She believed in giving her all, a belief that would later lead to burnout.

From Leadership to Burnout

After six years, the pressures of success began to take their toll. Natalia faced competition, unspoken rules, and the shattering of illusions. The onset of COVID-19 in 2019 exacerbated her stress. Her husband fell seriously ill, requiring extensive care. The demands of home, work, and family strained her marriage to the brink of divorce. The pandemic forced her to close her office and halt her international travels, leaving her world on pause.

Natalia realized that her mission to improve women’s lives no longer aligned with her reality. Her values had shifted, and she struggled to inspire her team when she herself felt uninspired. She experienced resistance, fatigue, and a sense of living someone else’s life, albeit at a higher level. A profound emptiness and loss of direction ensued. She felt as if she had abruptly stopped mid-path, unable to continue in the same direction. Her energy waned, and she lost her sense of purpose.

The Search for Self and New Meaning

Recognizing her need for help, Natalia sought assistance from psychologists, psychotherapists, and coaches. She explored various avenues, hoping to regain her footing. Some approaches provided temporary relief or understanding, but none brought about the profound change she sought. The turning point came when she attended a transformational training in Vologda, Russia. The four-day intensive was rigorous, incorporating elements of provocative psychology. It challenged her deeply, making it impossible to hide from her true self.
