Christina Kosheleva: People Are the Catalyst for Achievements

At just 21 years old, Christina Kosheleva has already made a name for herself with a remarkable journey in the music industry. From reaching the finals of the “Songs” project on TNT to securing a contract with a major label, releasing solo songs and duets, and creating music videos with millions of views, her accomplishments are impressive. Additionally, she manages to balance her education and create stunning artwork. In this interview, Christina shares her thoughts on music, art, success, fan letters, and her unique style.

On Success and Motivation

Christina reflects on her success, stating, “Success is a subjective thing, honestly! People know me, and these people are the catalyst for my achievements! The more feedback I receive, the more motivated I am to create. I think that’s the whole secret.”

When asked about how she measures her success, Christina shares, “Nowadays, I mainly focus on the results of my recent work. When you switch to full autonomy, what you do independently becomes crucial. So, I only keep track of my latest projects.”

Balancing Life and Work

Despite her busy schedule, Christina tries to make time for her friends and family. “The last month has been so hectic with preparations for the concert in Moscow on January 7th and writing new songs. But I always try to find time to see everyone,” she says.

Education and Art

Christina is currently studying at the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry, pursuing a degree in industrial design. She explains, “Art is another way for me to tell people how I perceive the world. Sometimes as it is, sometimes exaggerated. Art is a sphere where I feel comfortable.”

Her Instagram followers often comment on her artwork, saying things like “Unexpected” and “A different Christina.” She responds, “I don’t separate the things I do. I try to integrate one into the other. This symbiosis is what my life is about: drawing inspiration from music for art and vice versa.”

Inspiration and Creativity

Christina collaborated with Maxim Svoboda on the visual component of his album “Colors,” which featured Pantone Institute color images. She shares, “The story with the colors was so close and understandable to me that I didn’t have to invent anything. I’ve worked with colors, brushes, coloristics, and light for many years. It was like I had passed by the same thing a thousand times—all I had to do was stop and take what had already been invented long ago.”

Creating visuals for her songs, however, is a different challenge. “It seems like it should be easier to create visuals for yourself, but in reality, you face an overflow of thoughts and ideas. It’s hard to choose just one. The most difficult thing is to convey everything so that the person understands, feels, and experiences this story,” she explains.

Music and Style

Christina’s unique vocal talent is one of her standout features. She says, “There’s nothing magical about it. It’s a technique that allows me to give my voice a certain color and interesting sound at specific moments. I mostly sing normally, with my regular voice. People are captivated not by the split itself, but by the combination.”

Her favorite song at the moment is the new collaboration with Maxim Svoboda, “Waiting for a Call.” She shares, “Right now, it’s closer and more pleasant in terms of feelings.”

Christina’s stage image, “The girl with the bob,” was born on the “Songs” project on TNT. She admits, “It was a challenging external transformation, and I had a hard time accepting this image. But over time, I found so many positives in my new look! I don’t even know when I’ll part with it.”

Fashion and Trends

Christina loves a style that is both beautiful and comfortable. She follows trends and admires fashionable and stylish people. “If I see something very cool, I definitely remember it to use the idea later,” she says.

As a media personality, Christina is often seen at events, broadcasts, and shows. She expresses her desire to participate everywhere, saying, “Nowadays, various shows on YouTube and TV help to see the artist from different sides. So, I would like to take part everywhere!”

Future Plans

Christina shares one of her aspirations, “Oh, it’s one of my wishes! But I usually nurture an idea for a long time before sharing it with others. I need to speed up!”

She also cherishes the letters from her fans, which she received during her tour with the “Songs” show. “Many write that I inspired them to do something or helped them in different situations. It makes me very happy,” she says.
