Chilling Details of Ex-Deputy Minister Alexey Sklyar’s Personal Life and His Wife

The Tragic End of Alexey Sklyar

In the early morning of January 15, 2026, the life of former Russian Deputy Minister of Labor, Alexey Sklyar, tragically and mysteriously ended at the doorstep of his mansion in New Moscow. Reports surfaced online that the 50-year-old ex-official had taken his own life. Just before his death, Sklyar sent messages to friends blaming his wife for everything.

A Troubled Marriage

A few years ago, Alexey married for the second time to a woman named Alina. They had a child together. Initially, things were good, but after losing his government job, Sklyar faced financial difficulties, which led to conflicts with his wife.

The story took a new turn when it was reported by the Telegram channel Mash that Alexey regularly abused his wife, even during her pregnancy. Alina is currently in her hometown of Nalchik. After another scandal, her relatives took her to Kabardino-Balkaria. The ex-official constantly called his wife, begging her to return, but Alina remained steadfast. Many online users speculated that the consequences of this acute family conflict might have driven Sklyar to his fatal decision.

Contradictory Statements

However, Alina insists that her husband did not blame her for his suicide, stating that “the media blew this out of proportion.” Additionally, she claimed that their family life was good and that Alexey never abused her. These statements add more confusion to an already mysterious case.

Unanswered Questions

Many are wondering which wife Sklyar referred to in his suicide note: his current wife Alina, with whom he was in conflict, or his former wife, with whom he had recently undergone a substantial and seemingly painful division of property.

Divorce and Property Division

It is known that the divorce from his first wife occurred about three years ago. The property division was significant. The official lost a 50-square-meter apartment in southwest Moscow, and his ex-wife sold a spacious 120-square-meter apartment in a prestigious residential complex on Shabolovka, valued at approximately 80 million rubles. However, she kept a parking space and a plot of land in Krasnodar, about a thousand square meters in size. After all these events, Alexey was left with a white two-story mansion in New Moscow and a premium-class BMW X6 car.

Family and Career

From his first marriage, the official had two adult sons, Daniel and Nikita. Now, Alina faces the division of property with the heirs of her deceased husband.

Alexey Sklyar’s career path until 2022 was a model of successful ascent up the bureaucratic ladder. He was born in Slaviansk-on-Kuban, graduated from Kuban State University and RANEPA, and became a candidate of economic sciences. He began his career in commercial structures of the Krasnodar Territory and in 2002 moved to public service, taking the position of deputy head of the management of the Federal Treasury for the region.

From 2011 to 2013, he headed this management. Then he moved to the Accounts Chamber, where Sklyar oversaw issues of automation and information technology. In July 2018, his career peaked with his appointment as Deputy Minister of Labor of Russia. He was responsible for extremely important and modern areas: the development of information systems and the provision of public services in electronic form. However, in July 2022, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin dismissed Alexey from his post. Formally, it was at Sklyar’s own request. What lay behind this resignation is unclear, but for a man who had built his career all his life, the loss of high status and the associated opportunities could have been a severe blow.
