Chilling Details Emerge in Russian Model and Daughter’s Murder Case

The tragic story of Russian national Irina D. and her 15-year-old daughter Dayana, who were murdered in Turkey in November 2023, continues to unfold with new details. After several years, investigators have uncovered horrifying details of what happened on that fateful day. Irina, a Russian model, and her teenage daughter were found dead in a ravine near Bodrum, their bodies wrapped in blankets. The prime suspect, according to investigators and the victims’ acquaintances, is Irina’s ex-husband, Andrei Kushlevich, who took their five-year-old son and fled after the crime.

According to new information from the Sabah newspaper, Turkish investigators determined that Kushlevich was not allowed to approach his ex-wife. However, he not only broke into her apartment but also spent nearly five hours there after the murder. During this time, he cleaned the apartment and wrapped the victims’ bodies in blankets to dispose of them by the roadside. The autopsy revealed that Irina had three gunshot wounds, and her daughter Dayana had two.

It was also discovered that the man had illegally entered the woman’s apartment several times before, and the Turkish court had issued three restraining orders against him. However, these orders never deterred him. The former personal bodyguard of an oligarch disregarded the law.

Ten months before the tragedy, he had already come to Irina’s house, attempting to kidnap their son. At that time, the woman managed to protect her child and call the police in time. The man fled again and began plotting his revenge. On the day he returned, Irina was unable to call for help in time.

Friends of the deceased are convinced that 15-year-old Dayana was not killed because she witnessed the crime. Andrei, according to them, hated his stepdaughter and killed her intentionally. Their fears are confirmed by the family’s acquaintances: his phrase “I will kill you,” uttered in anger, always meant exactly that.

Conflicts over their younger son were constant between the couple. Irina tried to terminate her ex-husband’s parental rights and prove in court that he had mental health issues. In response, he threatened, beat her, and abused her and her older children. Even after the divorce, he insisted on taking their son to Lithuania, as he was wanted in Russia and did not want the boy to stay there. When the Russian court left the child with the mother, Andrei declared war.

A lawyer familiar with the case previously stated that Kushlevich openly threatened Irina. According to him, the man repeatedly warned that he would not leave her in peace and tried to blackmail her to get the child back.

The more the woman resisted, the more sophisticated the pressure became. The ex-husband threatened to post “personal information” online, promised swift retribution, and made it clear that no one could protect her. Irina sought help from both Turkish and Russian police, but her complaints were mostly ignored.

After the murder, Andrei Kushlevich fled with his five-year-old son and was on the run for several months. Irina’s older son, David, miraculously survived because he did not live with his mother. But even after the terrible tragedy, like other relatives of the deceased, he feared for his safety, understanding that the threat from this man was very real. In May 2024, the suspect was arrested in Germany while trying to cross the border on a bus from Prague to Munich. The question of his extradition to Turkey, where he is to stand trial, is still being decided.
