Business Leader Awards 2024: Celebrating Belarus’ Top Entrepreneurs
On July 4th, in Minsk, at the Marriott Hotel, the Publishing Group “Delo” hosted a gala reception honoring the laureates of the annual “Business Leader” competition. Established in 1996, this prestigious award is now in its 29th year of recognizing the most successful managers and owners of dynamically developing enterprises in Belarus.
Each year, the competition acknowledges 12 representatives of the business community. This year’s winners were awarded honorary diplomas and a special prize—a composition titled “On Horseback!” by the renowned Belarusian sculptor S. Gumilevsky.
The ceremony gathered numerous guests, including representatives from the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, sectoral ministries, territorial government bodies, and leading domestic entrepreneurs.
The event was opened by Alexander Shvets, Chairman of the Republican Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) and head of the Public Expert Council of the “Business Leader” competition. In his speech, he emphasized that Belarusian business has entered a phase of active action and long-term planning, with enterprises ready for innovation and development.
Victor Zhuk, Director and Chief Editor of the Publishing Group “Delo,” head of the organizing committee, and founder of the competition, noted that the winners demonstrate how successful and sustainable enterprises can be created even in challenging economic and social conditions, ensuring their growth and stability.
“This competition is important not only to honor the best of the best but also to inspire all domestic entrepreneurs. Over the years, we have seen how they make a significant contribution to the economic development of our country,” summarized Victor Zhuk.
This year’s laureates include representatives from Minsk and the Minsk region, Gomel, Bobruisk, and Brest, including two women.
The event took place in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The “Business Leader” competition once again demonstrated that Belarusian business is ready for new challenges and capable of adapting to changes.
The organizers expressed gratitude to their partners, without whose support the ceremony would not have been possible. Among them are Mingaz, Belgosstrakh, BelVEB, Kaspersky, MetallOptSbyt, Inforealt, Mostovdrev, Marriott Hotel, Robinson-Club, and media resources.
