ArtPlay Studio: A Fresh Perspective on Aesthetic Education
I recently visited ArtPlay, a unique studio dedicated to aesthetic education, and had the pleasure of speaking with its founder, Oksana Sidorskaya. We discussed the innovative approaches they use and how parents can guide their teenagers towards success.
Inspiration Behind ArtPlay Studio
Oksana initially considered opening a kindergarten but realized that Minsk already had a sufficient number of private kindergartens. Moreover, governmental regulations posed challenges to new initiatives. Drawing from her time in Moscow, Oksana envisioned a studio where children could receive both aesthetic and physical development.
ArtPlay Studio offers a convenient location for parents to bring their children and explore various artistic disciplines. Children under 14 are often in search of their passions, and ArtPlay provides a space for them to discover and nurture their talents.
Art Classes at ArtPlay
ArtPlay offers two distinct art groups. The first group caters to children aged 3 to 5, focusing on self-expression through various mediums, including walls and floors. The second group, for children aged 6 and above, delves into different artistic techniques. This unique approach sets ArtPlay apart from other studios in Minsk, offering a wide range of disciplines for child development.
Challenges and Popular Courses
Creating ArtPlay Studio came with its share of challenges. Oksana emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and seeking professional advice when dealing with legal and financial matters. She also highlighted the need to address specific nuances when hiring instructors who work in similar fields elsewhere.
ArtPlay offers a variety of courses for both adults and children. Adults can enjoy classes like body ballet, contemporary dance, etiquette, runway modeling, and makeup. Children, on the other hand, are drawn to painting, ballet, gymnastics, and dance. Additional classes include runway modeling, choreography, acting, and photo training. The studio also offers etiquette and fashion illustration classes, as well as programs like
