Alice Arshavina’s Nose Loss Warning: The Deadly Risks of Beauty Injections
Alice Arshavina’s Story: A Cautionary Tale from the Beauty Industry
Alice Arshavina’s story is one of the most frightening and educational in the beauty industry. Several years ago, the ex-wife of soccer player Andrey Arshavin faced severe consequences that completely changed her life and appearance.
A Simple Beauty Shot Turned Tragedy
What seemed like a routine beauty injection turned into a tragedy: Alice lost her nose and underwent a long, painful recovery process. This included seeing dozens of doctors, battling depression, and enduring seven stages of complex surgeries. Today, Alice has decided to speak openly about her experience. She is the featured guest in a new project by the Friday! TV channel called “What Have I Done,” which is dedicated to the victims of plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures. Alice’s story opens this honest and sometimes shocking conversation about the price of beauty enhancements.
The Perfect Storm of Factors
According to Alice, several factors played a fatal role. At the time, she was going through a difficult divorce, experiencing extreme stress, and her body was weakened. In such a state, any mistake can have fatal consequences. An infection that entered her body during the injection led to the development of a necrotic process. Her tissues began to die, and the cartilage literally started to disintegrate from the inside.
“It’s my fault, yes. You shouldn’t get carried away with unnecessary injections, especially in the cartilage area. I developed a necrotic process, and my cartilage was dissolving. When I realized that something was wrong with my nose, it was already too late,” Alice admits candidly.
Gradual and Insidious
The problems developed gradually and did not immediately appear threatening. Alice recalls that for several months, her nose changed: swelling appeared and subsided, it enlarged, made breathing difficult, and her temperature rose. These alarming signals lasted about five months until the situation became critical. By the time of her emergency hospitalization, it was a matter of hours.
“When I was urgently taken into surgery, the doctor said: ‘A little more, and you would have died.’ When I woke up after the operation, half of my nose was already gone from the inside, and on the outside, there was just a petal,” Alice remembers.
The Long Road to Recovery
After the life-saving operation, a new, equally difficult stage began—attempts to restore her lost nose. Alice admits that she faced a harsh reality: many surgeons refused to take on her case, considering it too complex and risky. In desperation, she began to act on her own, visiting Moscow clinics and agreeing to questionable solutions. One of these attempts—a skin graft from her forehead—was unsuccessful and only worsened the situation.
Her psychological state during that period was extremely difficult: “I was at rock bottom, I had depression. I lay in bed for almost a year without getting up, to the point that I didn’t even turn to the other side.”
A Turning Point
The turning point came when she met Denis Agapov, a plastic surgeon from St. Petersburg. He took on what seemed to be a hopeless case. The work was enormous. Alice underwent seven stages of nose reconstruction. Each of them required not only the highest professionalism from the doctors but also great patience from the patient. What was ultimately achieved, many specialists call a true miracle of modern reconstructive surgery.
In the project “What Have I Done,” Alice and her doctor tell in detail for the first time how they recreated the nose step by step, restoring not only her appearance but also her self-confidence. According to Agapov, the work was not just about restoring the shape but creating a natural, harmonious result. Special attention was paid to details, the lines of the nostrils, soft accents, and a neat bridge that makes the nose feminine and “alive,” not artificial.
In the fall of 2025, the surgeon announced that the reconstruction had reached the final stage. The doctor’s post with videos and photos of Alice caused a storm of reactions on social networks. Users thanked Agapov for his meticulous work and supported Alice for her courage to speak openly about her experience, without embellishment or shame.
