Many trends in New Year’s Eve makeup repeat year after year. This magical night is the perfect time for a bright and festive look, where you can let your imagination run wild and embrace the sparkle that’s hard to overdo. This is the time when cosmic highlighter glow, bright lips paired with bold eyes, and glitter falling onto your cheeks (pretending it’s intentional) are all welcome.

Jokes aside, glitter is still very much in vogue, along with gold and silver shades, sequins on the eyes, and bright, vibrant lipsticks. Colorful eye makeup is also appropriate, so it’s time to dust off those colored eyeliners—metallic shades are particularly fitting.
