KFC’s ‘I Help’ Campaign: Building Homes for Orphans, 50 Cents at a Time
KFC’s ‘I Help’ Campaign: Building Homes for Orphans
From September to November 2022, KFC is running the ‘I Help’ campaign, inviting customers to contribute to a noble cause with just 50 cents. Here’s how it works: add a small sticker house to your order at any KFC, and the proceeds will go towards supporting SOS Children’s Villages in Belarus. These villages, located in Borovlyany, Mariyna Horka, and Mahilyow, provide a loving home for children who have been orphaned or find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
Every Contribution Counts
KFC’s franchise partner in Belarus, ‘BelFood Service,’ emphasizes the importance of every contribution. As Ksenia Sadovskaya, the HR Director, puts it, “The ‘I Help’ campaign connects those who want to do good and shows that every contribution matters. Each guest and every 50 cents eventually turn into a children’s playground or a cozy home environment.”
This campaign is designed to encourage spontaneous giving, as it eliminates the need for extensive research or special actions. Simply add a sticker house to your order, and you’ve made a difference.
A History of Giving
The ‘I Help’ campaign is not new to KFC in Belarus. It was first launched in 2019 and repeated in 2021, raising a total of 96,650 Belarusian rubles for SOS Children’s Villages. In 2019, 17 KFC restaurants in three cities participated. Today, the campaign has grown to include 76 restaurants in 19 cities.
Maria Biblaya, HRBP of ‘KreativFoodS-Vostok,’ another KFC franchise partner in Belarus, shares, “Year after year, with the help of KFC guests, we manage to collect more substantial aid for SOS Children’s Villages. Our employees are actively involved in selling the sticker houses, and we hope to achieve impressive results this time as well.”
Making a Difference
The funds raised during the campaign will be used to improve the living conditions and development opportunities for children in SOS Children’s Villages. This includes updating children’s furniture and appliances, funding extracurricular activities, and providing sessions with speech therapists, psychologists, and special education teachers.
As Tatiana Dzhunedzha, the Head of Partnerships at SOS Children’s Villages, notes, “Our long-standing partners at KFC have proven that ‘It’s easy to do good when many help.’ Behind every small gesture of help, there’s a child whose life we’ve managed to improve. This is a shared achievement of all ‘I Help’ campaign participants.”
