The 54-year-old presenter spent her childhood at Vern Leaze, a Grade II listed property situated in Calne, Wiltshire. This sprawling 11-bedroom estate was last appraised in 2021 at £3.5 million (around $4.4 million). It was owned by Kirstie’s late father, Charles Allsopp, 6th Baron Hindlip, a former auctioneer at Christie’s.
Planning Controversy
The property made waves in 2025 when developers proposed constructing 170 new homes and a medical center in the vicinity. A petition garnering over 1,000 signatures has been initiated against the plan, with concerns about increased traffic, air pollution, and the potential impact on local wildlife.

Kirstie and her sister, Sofie, are both prominent television presenters. Sofie made her television debut in 2006, temporarily stepping in for Kirstie on Location, Location, Location. The sisters are also cousins of interior designer Cath Kidston, founder of Cath Kidston Limited.
